Is it worth it to be happy even when we see a future that may not look happy? There are indeed many times when we are oblivious about bad things that are about to happen. Isn’t it wonderful that we can’t know about the “bad” things that are about to happen? We truly aren’t meant to know. We aren’t meant to know about our future difficulties and challenges. We are only meant to know about the challenge that’s right here and now.

Consider a time when you’ve been in complete and total darkness. When complete darkness comes on it can feel like we’ve stiffened up. We become apprehensive and uncomfortable. Perhaps it feels like something might jump out and attack. When someone turns the light on, suddenly everything is ok. The truth is, whether the light is on or off we don’t have ultimate control over the next thing that’s coming up. Have you lost faith? Nothing is coming to attack you.
Our life can feel like all problems if we’re not careful. Be sure not to spend all your time in the problems, but rather live in the middle spaces where the problems aren’t. Problems are ultimately the periphery of life experience, but we may be focusing the camera in on them. Life was not meant to be this way, it is ultimately our mind training. Today, train your mind to be on the serenity that is available in all moments, not the problems.
If we could have unconditional faith in a higher power we would be truly free. Often our faith in God isn’t unconditional, but we do actually have practice with this concept. We have unconditional faith in our perspective and thought formations. What you make in your own mind is what you put your faith into, just to prove to yourself what you believe is correct.
Does it ever feel like life is throwing everything at you but the kitchen sink? It’s really easy to get discouraged! One of the first things we tend to do is head into panic. Have faith, lean on your people and your higher power, and know that you won’t be in this space forever. God would not bring you more than you can handle with God.
God cannot do for us what God cannot do through us. Our will gets in the way sometimes and God can’t do anything about our own human free will. Our will is a wonderful thing: it helps us create amazing and beautiful things. Sometimes, though, we block our own miracles.
All humans need different types of power. Food, water, love, and faith can all produce power for you to use in your daily life. Those who stay plugged in maintain a state of connectedness with the divine spirit. When we don’t power up, we lose. We can use this power in any way we choose, the important thing is that we are always powering up.
