Balance is spiritual order. Everything in the world is always trying to balance itself, whether it be karma, our own bodies, or nature. Life is always calling us to balance. Today, if we’re feeling unbalanced, we can know that is a very natural and spiritual part of life.

We view the world through a video camera, which is our two eyes. The experiences of our life are framed by our video camera, and so sometimes the ideas we come away with are not quite the truth. Today, may we become aware that what we think may not be the truth.

Learning to be yourself is the most important thing we ever learn to do. Beneath all the layers of uneasiness and fear, there is discord. There is a constant sense within the body that something needs to be corrected. Underneath it all, there is wanting to be known and loved for exactly who we are. Today, we can cultivate unconditional worthiness within ourselves. To learn to be ourselves and we with ourselves, that is the greatest gift we can gain.

The innate ability to know something without conscious reasoning: this is intuition. Each and every one of us is pre-programmed with a sense of what is going to happen. If we listen we will naturally predict. When we don’t listen we may end up in danger or in unneccessary pain. Today, we can foster our inner knowing and flex the muscle of intuition we were born with.

Our life can feel like all problems if we’re not careful. Be sure not to spend all your time in the problems, but rather live in the middle spaces where the problems aren’t. Problems are ultimately the periphery of life experience, but we may be focusing the camera in on them. Life was not meant to be this way, it is ultimately our mind training. Today, train your mind to be on the serenity that is available in all moments, not the problems.

We talk about the present moment often in reference to meditation but living in the present moment doesn’t have to be just in meditation. Most people live in the past or the future and occasionally visit the present moment when it is needed for practical circumstances. Really, we would be better off doing the opposite. For more reading on The Present Moment I would suggest the writings of Eckhart Tolle.

The practice of meditation is a gift that you can revisit your whole life. Developing a practice of meditation helps us understand that our problems are waves in a vast ocean. We are not our probelms, we are the awareness behind them. Meditation can help us tap into the ability for self healing, reduce stress, and get to know our inner world.
