There are stories we tell about our identity, our life, our experiences, that serve to create pain in our life. This is called victomhood or martyrdom. We carry pain stories that become apart of our identity. Indeed, we view and interpret the world through our pain at times. There may be no other way for us to express our pain except through victimhood. Today, we honor our pain without needing to tell a story about it. We can feel it, instead of telling stories about it.
